Born under "suspicious" circumstances
Of a supposed virgin
In a humble manger
To a lowly carpenter
Rejected of many
He lived the life of a servant
Most called him Jesus, and not Master Christ.
For his lordship is only grossly evident
Upon his resurrection.
Otherwise they deigned to call him Jesus.
With his commanding presence,
His gaze of authority,
His words of wisdom,
His work of miracles,
They suspected he is the Messiah.
Today you may still call him by his first name Jesus
Because he never insisted on being on a higher level than you are.
You are not only a son of God, but also his friend and brother.
What he has, he is willing to impart to you
Like a true friend would.
Lean on this brother -- he never fails
for he promises to carry you through
every hurricane, every typhoon, every gale.
"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:10,11 KJV
"I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily..." Psalm 35:14 KJV
